A tale as old as time, a song as old as rhyme….
Beauty and the Beast is a classic Disney movie that most girls grew up watching over and over again. Many of us went to bed dreaming that we would one day become a beautiful princess and marry our Prince Charming. We still dream about amazing ball gowns, decor, and being surrounded by all of our loved ones, but this time it’s a Beauty and the Beast Quinceañera.
For some, those dreams and fairy tales do come true. One such example is our gorgeous quinceañera, Lanyia. Lanyia had an elegant, Beauty and the Beast themed quinceañera that gives us all sorts of warm fuzzy feelings.
Lanyia and her mother did not miss a single detail for this night of magic, but it took them about two years to plan it! Lanyia’s Quinceañera is an inspiration to all of us, but especially for young girls planning their quinces!
Prior to the big day, Lanyia had a stunning photoshoot with photographers Dorraine Judge & Delissa Santiago. In the midst of a fog-filled forest, Lanyia found herself in a field at golden hour. These pictures turned out ah-mazing! Lanyia wore a simple yellow dress with a rose crown that her mother handmade for her.
Lanyia wasn’t alone in the deep dark woods of course; she was accompanied by her strong and handsome beast!
Lanyia’s mother decorated a beautiful table, which can inspire you Quince Queens who are struggling on how to decorate your tables! The royal blue glitter table cloth looked great with her gold table decor. Adding red or yellow table napkins is an easy way to tie in the Beauty and the Beast Quinceanera theme. Search online for Beauty and the Beast figurines to add to the tables!
Who’s Beauty without her Beast? The young man looked handsome in his Beastly suit! If you are planning a Beauty and the Beast themed quince, have your Chambelan de Honor dress in an elegant royal blue suit!
Lanyia’s Damas were all dressed in matching blue dresses and gold flats. The Chambelanes also all coordinated nicely. The white dress shirts, blue pants and brown dress shoe combination always look good. What really made the guys’ outfits stand out were the suspenders and bowties!
Her Dress & Heels
One struggle Lanyia and her mother had was finding the perfect dress. Lanyia didn’t want a yellow dress like Belle’s, and instead searched for gold ones. Without any luck, she found a beautiful champagne colored dress.
For this Beauty and the Beast Quinceanera themed quince, the invites did not disappoint. Choosing your invitation style is super important. It sets the tone for the guests to get a good feel for what the big day will be like! You can check out some tips here. Lanyia’s guests did not want to miss this party!
Tables & Venue
A key factor to a perfect quince is finding a perfect venue. If you aren’t sure how to, we have some tips for you here. Lanyia and her mom chose to go with The Marian House, which was perfect for her quince. Upon entering the venue, there was a large frame with seating arrangements for the guests.
The table setup and decorations went absolutely perfect with this venue location. They decorated the tables using blue tablecloths (almost identical to the one used in the photoshoot), clear plates, yellow napkins and a rose for each guest! Each table had different centerpieces incorporating the different characters from the movie, and beautiful large candles. The chairs were decorated with a glittering gold cloth.
Cake and Dessert
One of our favorite part of this (and every) quinceañera was the cake and dessert. Not only do they serve as a delightful treat, but they also create beautiful displays. The cake by Erica Marks, incorporated the Beauty and the Beast book, Belle’s dress, and a glass stained rose. The cookies in front of the cake were made by Sofia Benequez from SowhEEts Cake Shop, which spelled out
Lanyia’s name in a decorative matter that matched the theme. The macaroons, cupcakes, cake pops and other chocolate-covered sweets, all went along with the Beauty and the Beast colors. You can check out all of the vendors at the bottom of this article!
This quinceañera was beautifully put together. We always suggest to our future quince queens to plan a year in advance, but sometimes depending on all the detailing, you may want to start planning 2 years in advance.
